TERMS and CONDITIONS 

The terms and conditions below apply to all ticket holders, participants, panelists, and attendees (collectively, “Attendee(s)”) of Decolonizing Wealth Project’s Alight, Align, Arise Conference (the “Conference” or “A3”). Attendee(s) acknowledge that their purchase of Conference tickets, or in the case of recipients of complimentary tickets, their acceptance of the Conference tickets, represents their voluntary act and their agreement to the following: 

ASSUMPTION OF RISK & WAIVER

Attendee agrees to assume and accept all risks arising out of, associated with, or related to their participation in the Conference and agrees to be solely responsible for any injury, loss, or damage which Attendee might sustain in participating in Conference. 

Attendee recognizes that there are certain inherent risks of exposure to COVID-19 and other communicable diseases associated with attending the Conference, Attendee acknowledges the contagious nature of COVID-19 and any other communicable or infectious diseases, and assumes full responsibility for personal injury to themselves. Attendee acknowledges that DWP is not monitoring the COVID-19 infection status of Conference attendees. Attendee understands DWP cannot guarantee they will not become infected with COVID-19 or any other communicable disease as a result of their participation in the Conference.

Attendee releases and discharges DWP for injury, loss, or damage arising out of Conference attendance, whether caused by the fault of themself, DWP, or other third parties. Attendee agrees to indemnify and defend DWP, its employees, representatives, organizers, volunteers, contractors, agents, or assigns against any and all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments, costs, or expenses, including attorney fees and other litigation costs, which may in any way arise from their presence at the Conference.

COVID-19 SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

Attendee should arrive at the Conference up to date on COVID vaccinations per CDC guidelines.

  • Attendee agrees to take a COVID test (antigen or PCR) before traveling to the Conference. If Attendee tests positive or has any COVID-19 symptoms, Attendee understands they should stay home and contact DWP at registration@decolonizingwealth.com. 

  • If Attendee is exposed to COVID-19 in the ten days before the Conference, Attendee should wear a mask during public portions of the Conference. 

  • Attendee agrees to observe and obey all posted rules and warnings regarding COVID-19 and further agrees to follow any oral instructions or directions given by Decolonizing Wealth Project (DWP), its employees, representatives, or agents. Attendees who do not follow the rules and warnings may be removed from the Conference without warning or refund.

PHOTO/VIDEO/IMAGE RELEASE

Attendee understands that photos and videos will be captured at the Conference and grants Decolonizing Wealth Project and its agents, representatives, organizers, contractors, and employees (collectively, “DWP") to photograph and record them.

Attendee hereby irrevocably authorizes DWP to edit, alter, copy, exhibit, publish, or distribute, in whole or in part,  with or without my name, any photos, video, audio, or other recordings captured during Conference for any lawful purpose.  understand such uses may include but are not limited to publications, presentations, websites, social media services, digital streaming, education, training, research, public relations, marketing, and use by or for the news media. Attendee understands and agrees that any photograph or video using my likeness will become the property of DWP and will not be returned. Attendee acknowledges that since their participation in the Conference is voluntary, they will receive no financial compensation. Attendee agrees that they will not have the right to inspect or approve the use of any such photographs, recordings, or materials that may be created from them, now or in the future, and releases any and all legal claims against DWP or third parties related to the photographs, recordings, or materials that may be created from them.

PERSONAL DATA CONSENT

Attendee understands and consents that as part of their Conference registration and attendance, their personal data will be collected by Decolonizing Wealth Project, the Conference website, apps, photographers, media, and technology partners for the purposes of (but not limited to) tracking attendance, data analysis, and related marketing and communications activities. DWP will not sell your personal data.
